John Lambert

Offensive Coordinator, Quarterbacks, Running Backs & Snappers

Coach John David Lambert, known to many as "Lambo," brings more than three decades of coaching experience to the Fontainebleau High School football program. Entering his second season with the Bulldogs, Coach Lambert serves as Offensive Coordinator while overseeing the quarterbacks, running backs, and snappers. With 33 years of coaching experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a proven track record of success to the Fontainebleau offense. Originally from Bluefield, West Virginia, Coach Lambert attended Bluefield High School before continuing his athletic and academic career at Guilford College in North Carolina, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education. He played football at both the high school and collegiate levels, helping shape the foundation for a lifelong career in coaching. Throughout his coaching career, Coach Lambert has held key roles at Concord College, De La Salle High School, Hahnville High School, East Ascension High School, East St. John High School, Franklinton High School, Pearl River, and now Fontainebleau. Among his many accomplishments, he was part of a Hahnville program that compiled an 81-19 record, captured a state championship, won two regional championships and four district championships, and posted three undefeated seasons. Coach Lambert believes strongly in servant leadership and is passionate about using football to develop young men who will contribute positively to their communities and families. His message to players is simple and enduring: "Fight the Good Fight, Finish the Race, Keep the Faith." Coach Lambert lives in Denham Springs with his wife of 25 years, Angela. Together they have three children: Spencer, Wyatt, and Isabella. When he is away from the field, he enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, Touchdown.

Blaine Nolan

Offensive Line

Coach Blaine Nolan enters his fifth season with the Fontainebleau High School football program, serving as the Bulldogs' Offensive Line Coach. With five years of coaching experience at Fontainebleau and additional experience working offensive and defensive line camps at Nicholls State University since 2021, Coach Nolan is dedicated to developing fundamentally sound and disciplined linemen who contribute to the team's success on and off the field. A native of Crowley, Louisiana, Coach Nolan was a standout football player at Crowley High School, where he helped lead his team to the 1989 State AAA Championship and earned both All-State and Academic All-State honors. He continued his football career at Mississippi Delta Community College and Nicholls State University, earning All-State recognition in the Mississippi JUCO ranks while playing center and starting his first collegiate game at left tackle at just 17 years old. Coach Nolan's passion for football and mentoring young athletes is what drives him to coach. He enjoys sharing his love of the game while helping players learn the valuable life lessons football teaches, including hard work, commitment, and perseverance. His message to players is simple: make every rep count because every opportunity matters and cannot be repeated. Coach Nolan lives in Mandeville with his wife, Kelly, their two children, Brandon and Blair, and their dog, Daisy. Outside of football, he enjoys showing his cars and truck and creating fireworks displays.

Mario Maldonado

Wide Receivers Coach, JV Offensive Coordinator & Signal Caller

Coach Mario Maldonado, known by many of his players as "Coach Taco," brings nine years of coaching experience to the Fontainebleau High School football program. Entering his tenth year at Fontainebleau, he serves as the Wide Receivers Coach, Junior Varsity Offensive Coordinator, and signal caller, helping develop offensive talent while contributing to the growth and success of the entire program. A native of Harvey, Louisiana, Coach Maldonado attended Shaw High School, where he played safety, before continuing his education at Tulane University, earning a degree in Business Management. He also gained football experience as a member of Tulane's scout team. Before joining Fontainebleau, Coach Maldonado coached at Lakeshore High School and has been part of teams that reached the state quarterfinals three consecutive seasons. He is passionate about coaching because it provides an opportunity to positively impact young people and help shape their future. By sharing lessons learned through his own experiences, he strives to teach players the importance of making good decisions and handling challenges with maturity. Coach Maldonado emphasizes accountability and resilience, teaching his players that adversity is often part of the journey to success. His consistent message to student-athletes is simple: "Effort takes no talent." Coach Maldonado lives in Mandeville with his family and is the proud father of five children. Outside of football, he enjoys salsa dancing and spending time with his family.

Christie Mayfield

Film Coordinator & Academic Liaison

Christy Mayfield begins her first season with the Fontainebleau High School football program as Film Coordinator and Academic Liaison, while bringing 23 years of experience as an educator at Fontainebleau High School. In her role, she helps support the team's success both on and off the field by monitoring academic progress, filming practices and games, and ensuring the program remains compliant with all applicable rules, regulations, and documentation requirements. Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Mayfield graduated from Mary G. Montgomery High School and has built an impressive academic background, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Mobile, a Master of Arts in English from the University of New Orleans, and a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from Louisiana State University. Mayfield is excited to support Bulldog football by helping student-athletes achieve success in the classroom while pursuing their passion for the game. She believes that hard work and kindness are the foundation for success in any endeavor and hopes her players learn the value of both each day. Her advice to students is simple but powerful: work hard, be kind, and approach every day with purpose. Mayfield lives in Mandeville and is the proud mother of two children, Trae and Anna, and grandmother to Ray. Outside of football, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
